Sarita Sanghai was born and raised in Kathmandu, Nepal.  She started her journey with Waldorf education in 1997 when she moved to Hyderabad, India. She was a parent of a waldorf school for 10 years and has been a teacher for 9 years now. She has attended Waldorf teacher training courses and conferences in many countries where she has worked with master Waldorf teachers and mentors. She has been conducting parenting workshops in Nepal for 7 years and early childhood introductory courses in different parts of Nepal for past few years.

 Michal Ben-shalom, born in Israel, was a co-founder of the first Waldorf school in Israel 25 years ago. Since then, a class teacher and active in mentoring new teachers, was a co-founder of the first Waldorf teachers seminar in Israel and later on started the National Forum of Waldorf Education in Israel.

Van James

Van James is a Hawai’i based artist, author and educator; a graduate of the San Francisco Art Institute, Emerson College in England, and the Goetheanum School of Painting in Switzerland. He teaches art at the Honolulu Waldorf High School and is a regular guest instructor at Taruna College in New Zealand, Rudolf Steiner College in California, and numerous schools and trainings in Asia. He is editor of Pacifica Journal and chairman of the Anthroposophical Society in Hawai’i, as well as the author of several books on art and culture.

Silvia Jensen,from Florianapolis, has been working as a Kindergarten teacher in a Waldorf school in the south of  Brazil  for 23 years. She is the Brazilian representative to the Council of IASWECE(International Association for Steiner/Waldorf Early Childhood Education) .

Has done the Puppetry Training with Susan Down in USA, studied Waldorf education at Emerson College ,England.

She has a deep connection to storytelling, and art in general.

 

 

 

Silvia Jensen
Valerie Thomas

Valerie is the lead kindergarten teacher at Meadowsweet kindergarten, an integrated kindergarten at Camphill Special School.Valerie Thomas, a native of Scotland attended Dundee College of Education. She then came to the US to participate in the Curative Education Academy offered at Camphill Special School.

Since receiving her diploma from Beaver Run, she has been involved for the past 27 years with Waldorf Early Childhood programs. For 20 years she was a faculty member of Kimberton Waldorf School in Pennsylvania. She has completed the WECAN training and numerous courses and workshops on Early Childhood here on the East coast and also at the Micha-el Institute in Portland, Oregon.
She has been involved with mentoring teachers in the US and overseas.
